PERSEO is proud to be part of the ongoing FUELPHORIA project, whose M6 meeting was held last 27th March in BBEPP facilities (Ghent).

At PERSEO Biotechnology S.L., our vision is centered on achieving advancements by successfully demonstrating synergistic bioethanol and biomethane production at a semi-industrial scale.

As the leader of DEMO 4 in FUELPHORIA, we will demonstrate the technical, economic, and environmental viability of integrating bioethanol fermentation and anaerobic digestion using urban biowastes as feedstock at industrial scale. The CO2 stream from the fermentation process will be valorized by means of catalytic hydrogenation to bioethanol and biomethanol in collaboration with CSIC.

This approach will innovate biowaste management, ushering in a more circular and sustainable industry compared to current technologies. We are committed to making significant strides in sustainability within the waste management and energy sectors by efficiently producing advanced biofuels from biowaste and swiftly implementing these technologies into the market.
